Google takes Open Patent Non-Assertion Pledge

It's a very shy effort, but a good start. Still, it does not eliminate the need an of urgent patent reform. We have been stifling innovation for too long, while allowing for creators to piggyback on their older work almost indefinitely. Notch said it best when he mentioned that it is very confusing to him how he invented something and gets continually paid for it. It just does not resonate with real world work.
